Staying Safe at Morning Star Bible Camp
All of our overnight camps have been cancelled and replaced with Day Camps that have been greatly reduced in size. Each Day Camp will run from Monday to Friday, from 9:15/9:30 am to 3:45-4:00 pm.
We ask that any families who have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 or have had fevers in their home in the last 7-14 days before camp, do not come. You will be given a full refund. We will also require our staff to stay home should they be sick or exposed to someone with the virus.
All campers need to bring a clearly marked water bottle with them to camp. This will be their primary drinking vessel throughout the week.
A week prior to your camp start date, our camp staff will call you to talk through a Pre-Check-In, looking at the balance due, forms, medications, authorized pick-up and to answer any questions you may have. All remaining registration fees will be due the day prior to the camp start date.
Day Campers can expect to wash their hands often: before an activity and immediately following.
Day Campers may or may not be fully engaged in physical distancing at all times. If physical distancing is critical to you, we ask that you help your child to practice physical distancing. There are many ways to do this: play games together while maintaining distance, practice staying at an appropriate distance from one another, and also teach your camper verbal statements that they can use to politely ask someone to allow them more space. Public schools are not expected to enforce strict distancing measures, however, we are building the expectation of social distancing into our programming.
We are excited that we will still be able to welcome your camper this summer! The Lord has provided for the needs of Morning Star for well over 50 years and we look forward to seeing His provision this summer. As always, we will apply safe thinking to our methods, but above all else, we continue to trust in the Lord our God.
